During the event's panel discussion, speakers will delve into the current geopolitical landscape and its implications, the importance of talent, specific challenges and opportunities, as well as strategies in the context of Hong Kong. Topics to be covered include the impact of US-China relations, global transformation through digitization, policy changes in Hong Kong, collaboration opportunities, talent attraction, and efforts to address negative narratives surrounding the region.

Rajeev Chib

Dr. Chib is a seasoned Capital Markets professional with 29 years international experience with leading international banks based in Hong Kong, New Yok and Toronto. His most recent role was Asia CAO - Financial Institutions Sales & Solutions at Citi based in Hong Kong.

In addition to his roles within banking, Dr. Chib is passionate about Responsible Finance, ESG and Diversity & Talent. He is an Adjunct Professor at the City University of Hong Kong teaching Leadership at the graduate level with a focus on Authentic Leadership, leading in adverse situations and personal branding. He is also a Senior Lecturer at the Hang Seng University of Hong Kong teaching International Business to graduate students. He serves on the Advisory boards at University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management (Rotman) and Arts & Science faculty and also, was appointed as Executive in Residence at Rotman.

Dr. Chib received his Doctorate degree in Business Administration in October 2020 from City University of Hong Kong in Organizational Behaviour and leadership with a focus on the younger generation within Financial Services. He has a MBA (Executive MBA) and a BSc. in Quantitative Economics (with honors) from University of Toronto.

Alex Tam joined CIBC Capital Markets in June 2018 as Managing Director, Asia Pacific. Based in Hong Kong, he has responsibilities for overall relationship management of Asia Pacific corporate and financial institutions, including senior executive coverage, corporate lending, transaction banking, deposits, and trading credit to institutional clients in Asia. 

Prior to joining CIBC, Alex worked in leadership roles with global financial institutions, in Hong Kong, Singapore, and Canada, including as Managing Director, Head of Financial Institutions, and Head of Corporate and Institutional Banking Asia. He has 30 years of experience with international banks and serves on the Consultative Council of The Hong Kong Association of Banks, representing the Canada and US region banks, as well as on community organizations including as Chairman of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong, where he has proactively represented and advocated for members to governments locally and in Canada, and to the international business community. He is also a Male Ally of The Women's Foundation, where he supports the challenging of gender stereotypes, and advancing women leaders in business and financial services, and serves as Vice Chair of the Membership and Corporate Affairs Committee for the Hong Kong Tennis Association.

Alex received a Bachelor of Commerce degree from University of British Columbia and is a Certified Credit Risk Management Professional ((CCRP), Commercial Lending (CL) and Credit Portfolio Management (CPM)).

Mrs. Betty Yuen, Chairman of CLP Power Hong Kong Limited which provides the essential electricity service to 80% of Hong Kong’s population.

Mrs. Yuen has been the Chairman of the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce since May 2022, the longest established and the most dynamic and international business chamber in Hong Kong.

In 2004, Mrs. Yuen was the first Hong Kong person to be named the “Business Woman of the Year” in the internationally acclaimed Veuve Clicquot Award.

Mrs. Yuen  received  a  Bachelor  of  Commerce  from  the  University  of  Toronto  in  Canada.    A certified Canadian accountant, she has a strong business, management and finance background & had held a number of senior management positions in PricewaterhouseCoopers and ExxonMobil in Hong Kong and overseas before joining CLP Power Hong Kong Ltd. in 1999.

A seasoned HR executive, Helen has held increasingly senior roles throughout her career in leading global organizations in both Asia and North America. She has developed strong expertise in various HR disciplines in both COE and HR Business Partnership. She recently moved to Hong Kong from Canada where she spent 22 years.

Helen holds an MBA at McGill University and as a Certified Professional Coach, Helen has exhibited strong passion to coach and mentor people especially women and underrepresented minorities to help them integrate effectively with the society and find their paths to success.  She speaks three languages: Mandarin, English and French and her international experiences greatly contribute to her global mindset and cultural sensitivity.
