About the Event

As an educator, Principal and CEO of Branksome Hall, Karen Jurjevich had a vision to make wellness a key strategic goal of the school. From the construction of a new facility dedicated to wellness —the Athletics and Wellness Centre—to introducing dance programs and “Fit Friday,” wellness has become central to the success of Branksome Hall as an organization and to the education of Branksome Hall students. Based on research into sleep, physical and emotional well-being, Ms Jurjevich will highlight methods that can be applied in organizations to create a balanced life of well-being for the workplace community. Changes implemented at institutional and personal levels aim to bring overall wellness – decreased stress, fitness and balance. The principles that make wellness part of the internationally recognized education for girls at Branksome Hall can be applied to any workplace or to personal and family life.
