About the Event

Kim and Mauborgne created the theory “Blue Ocean Strategy” which generated a lot of noises in the strategy field. How can the concept be applied? How valid is this methodology? How can one swim from the red ocean to the blue ocean? Some people opine that the concept seems appealing only after the event: that is, it is just a theory to explain a successful product after it becomes successful. The question of “how to get there” is not being addressed.

In this lunch gathering, Prof Chan will address this issue in evaluating the practicality of the blue ocean strategy. You may then have a better idea on how you can develop your own business strategy effectively.
