Monthly Committee Round Up: February

February was a fruitful month for CanCham committees to share insights and collaborate on various initiatives. Committees engaged in productive discussions, exchanging ideas that will enhance member services and strengthen the community!

 

  • Education CommitteeWe had a productive committee meeting where we welcomed new members and engaged in fruitful discussions about upcoming initiatives.

 

  • Entrepreneur & Small Business CommitteeWe welcomed CanChamHK new members attending ESBC meeting! it kicked off the year with a brainstorming session, discussing proposed ideas and suggested topics for future initiatives.

 

  • Marketing & Communications Committeethe MarComm Committee hosted a very engaging meeting on the topic of Personal Branding on Social Platforms, led by our Co-chair Julie Labrecque Page with special guest Ria Parikh. We explored defining your personal brand and leveraging social platforms to amplify your presence.

 

  • Sustainable Development CommitteeOur committee meeting focused on strategic planning for the year ahead, emphasizing sustainability initiatives and community outreach.

 

  • The Women’s NetworkWe gathered to discuss our upcoming annual event, and it was a pleasure to welcome guest speaker and TWN founding member Elizabeth Thomson. Elizabeth shared her passion for The Amber Foundation and its mission to educate young ethnic minority women and support their career journeys. It was inspiring to hear her insights! We were also joined by James Sakhrani-Thomson from the Entrepreneur & Small Business Committee (ESBC), who added valuable perspectives to our discussion, especially as some ESBC members participated too!

 

  • Young Professionals CommitteeWe hosted a monthly mixer focus on YPC this month and participated in the Intercham mixer event, providing networking opportunities for our members to connect with industry peers.
