Call for CanChamHK Executive Committee Nominations - 2025/2026

The Nomination Committee of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce Hong Kong is inviting members to put forward their names as candidates in an election to the Executive Committee ("ExCo") for the year 2025/2026.

 

What is the ExCo?

The ExCo sets the Chamber’s strategic direction. Members of the ExCo meet on a monthly basis and actively participate to support the Chamber’s events and initiatives. The Nomination Committee seeks candidates with a high level of commitment and passion for the Chamber, history of involvement with CanCham, access to strong networks, knowledge of the local business community, and possessing professional expertise (e.g. accounting, marketing, corporate governance, legal). 

 

What is the term of office for an ExCo member?

Positions are for a two-year term and eligible for re-appointment for another term of 2 years.

1) Why would you like to serve on CanChamHK’s Executive Committee?

2) What can you contribute to the Committee and the Chamber?

3) What are your personal objectives by serving on the Executive Committee for the proposed 2-year term?

4) List the CanChamHK activities in which you have been an organizer and/or a sponsor.

5) List any specific suggestions that would improve the overall impact and efforts of CanChamHK.  

 

What are the next steps?

The application will then be reviewed by the Nomination Committee. The Committee will consider the unique contribution that potential candidates can bring to the ExCo and to the membership, based on the applicant's background, involvement, and level of commitment.

A completed application does not guarantee a nomination. All positions are confirmed annually by the membership present at the Annual General Meeting later this year (date to be announced soon). 

The Nomination Committee wishes to have representation from a broad cross-section of the Chamber's membership so do not hesitate to confirm your interest! Women candidates are highly encouraged to apply
