2024 Year-End Recap: Celebrating Our Community's Highlights

As we bid farewell to another remarkable year, it's time to reflect on the incredible contributions our CanChamHK Community has made and the milestones we've achieved together. From exciting events to strategic collaborations, 2024 has been a year of growth and innovation for us at CanChamHK.

Let’s take a look back at some of the standout moments!

January: Transpac 10

We kicked off the year with the Transpac 10, setting a strong foundation for what was to come. This event brought together industry leaders and stakeholders, fostering valuable connections.

 

February: Lunar New Year Celebration

In February, our Executive Director Patrick Levesque attended a special ceremony organized by Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX) to celebrate the first trading day of the Lunar New Year. This event highlighted our commitment to engaging with the local community and supporting cultural traditions.

March: Celebrating Women

March was dedicated to celebrating women with our TWN Women’s Day event. We honored the achievements of women in our network and discussed vital issues affecting women in business today.

 

April: COP28 Participation

In April, following COP28 in Dubai (Nov 30 - Dec 13, 2023), a Hong Kong seminar by CanChamHK, alongside the Sustainable Development and Education Committees, tackled crucial climate change issues post-gathering. Ms. Rachel Bedlington, Consul General of Canada in Hong Kong and Macao, emphasized Canada's support for COP processes. Mr. CF Wong, JP, Commissioner for Climate Change, discussed COP28 takeaways and Hong Kong's carbon neutrality goals pre-2050.

 

May: Annual Ball - Journey to Wonderland

May saw our Annual Ball, themed "Journey to Wonderland." This enchanting evening not only raised funds for our initiatives but also brought together members and supporters in a magical setting.

 

June: Brand New Committee

June marked the formation of our Brand New Committee for Marketing and Communications.
This team will play a crucial role in enhancing our outreach and engagement strategies moving forward.

 

July: CanCham's New Platform Launch

In July, we launched CanCham's new platform, making it easier for our members to connect, collaborate, and access resources. This platform is a significant step in our digital transformation journey.

September: Celebrating a Decade of The Women’s Network

September was a month of celebration as we commemorated the 10th anniversary of The Women’s Network. This milestone reflects a decade of empowering women in our community and fostering leadership.

 

October: AGM and Community Engagement

October was a pivotal month with our Annual General Meeting (AGM) and the launch of our new monthly community mixer event. These initiatives aim to strengthen connections within our community and encourage collaboration among members.

November: Giving Back and Celebrating Together

November was filled with community spirit as we organized a Beach Clean-Up, emphasizing our commitment to environmental stewardship. We also hosted the Autumn Fête: A Holiday Mashup, along with a CG cocktail event, bringing members together for a festive celebration.

 

 

December: Holiday Cheer

December wrapped up the year with our Team Christmas Secret Santa, fostering camaraderie and holiday cheer among our staff. It was a delightful way to celebrate our achievements and strengthen our team bonds.
