About the Event

Investing for Young Professionals is a series launched by the Young Professionals Committee of The Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong in 2017.

Part 1: Investing 101 was a huge success and provided an introduction to investing by Mary Leung, Head of Standards and Advocacy, APAC at CFA Institute.

Part 2 further educated young professionals by featuring personal stories of investing success and pitfalls from financial industry experts. Our goal was to prove attendees with a framework to understand investment decisions

Part 3 we will focus on how to choose a financial advisor and company to work with.

Expansion on the topic:

  • Why do I need a financial advisor? Advantages and disadvantages of an advisor over self- investing.
  • How to find a good advisor or good company to invest with? What research can I do?
