As part of our YP Mentorship Program, we are honored to have Mr. Michael Yong-Haron share some career advice and what it takes to stay ahead of the pack. He will share a wide range of topics from developing self-awareness, finding your competitive advantage, improving your communication skills, and how to find the right balance to endure the long road ahead of you.

Mr. Michael Yong-Haron is Executive Officer, Managing Director and Head of Client Relationship Management at Standard Chartered Private Bank. Based in Hong Kong, he is responsible to set strategic direction, manage business development, improve operational efficiencies, develop people and talent, ensure effective risk management, uphold high standards of governance, regulatory and business conduct. With over 20 years of wealth management experience spanning Asia, Europe and North America, Michael has held various leadership roles at the Royal Bank of Canada, Credit Suisse and Credit Agricole Indosuez. Michael holds a M.B.A from the Kellogg School of Management & HKUST. He received a joint degree (First Class Honours) in Economics and Law from the University of Wales, U.K. He is a Member of the Executive Board at the Canadian Chamber of Commerce, and Ball Co-Chair in 2016 & 2017. He is an active volunteer at the Chartered Financial Analyst Institute in Charlottesville, Virginia. He is also an Ambassador for the Kellogg HKUST MBA program.
