The inaugural “Belt and Road” Summit” is jointly organised by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC).  It aims to highlight Hong Kong’s unique roles and strengths in supporting the implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative spearheaded by the Central Government. It will bring together some 1,000 senior government officials, business leaders, project owners, equipment manufacturers, investors and industry experts from Hong Kong, the Chinese mainland, ASEAN and major economies along the Belt and Road to exchange views on co-operation under the Belt and Road Initiative, particularly in the areas of finance, logistics and maritime services, professional services, overseas direct investment, infrastructure development and international trade.
