Tech Roundtable
Disruption in the Events Industries

Leaders of businesses in the events space discuss why the area is ripe for disruption while the entrenched players discuss their strategies for relevance and growth

Disruption. A “top-of-mind issue in the C-suites of every industry” as described by a recent article in The Economist. The article further explains: “Senior executives of traditional firms are looking over their shoulders and wondering if they are in the crosshairs of a digital insurgent. Far-sighted executives are asking how they can disrupt themselves by creating new digital businesses—and responding with their own digital transformation journey.” But should they? Perhaps traditional firms need not underestimate the strengths they bring to the table, and instead continue to focus on their customers, something the startups may struggle to attract.

Please join us for a roundtable discussion where the leaders of businesses in the events space discuss why they feel this area is ripe for disruption while the entrenched players discuss their strategies for relevance and growth.

This discussion will be moderated by the Chair of the Technology Committee at the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong and will be joined by the below business leaders.
