Celebrated its first anniversary in May 2020, the BEC Low Carbon Charter has by far mobilised 68 companies across all sectors in Hong Kong in committing to set and achieve ambitious decarbonisation targets towards a sustainable and low carbon future. “Well begun is half done” – the introductory workshop aims to assist signatories and interested companies in setting decarbonisation targets, and to provide a platform for participants to exchange ideas on the topic.

The online workshop will feature introductions on climate change in Hong Kong’s context and target-setting; industry peers will share experience and insights relating to setting targets and engaging stakeholders throughout the process; and participants will have an opportunity to exchange ideas and to listen to experts opinions on the challenges in the target-setting phase.
