Team Canada: Beach Cleanup 2016

November 20, 2016, 10:00-13:00

-

Canadians and friends are invited to join Team Canada and work in teams to help cleanup the Hong Kong coastline as part of the 2016 Hong Kong Coastal Cleanup Challenge organised by Ecozine.

Having engaged over 270,000 participants and cleaned up over 22 million pieces of trash, the Hong Kong Cleanup Challenge has firmly established itself as a well-loved and vital part of the Hong Kong event landscape. The Hong Kong Cleanup has been coordinating community cleanups and other educational activities in Hong Kong since 2000. Their vision is that one day, we won’t need to be doing cleanups!

In the past several years, we, Team Canada have won the largest group (Non-Profit category) participating in the HK Cleanup as well as most garbage collected. This year, we aim to win the "Best Team Spirit" and also "Greenest Team" awards. Hence come join us as we show our Canadian pride and spirit for this year's cleanup. We have strategically chosen a site located close to public transport and encourage you to take the MTR to participate in this year's cleanup so that we can become the "Greenest Team". Please bring your own reusable water bottle with water to stay hydrated during the short but meaningful cleanup session.
