About the Event

In 2013, Leong Cheung had a vision on how we could support youth, minorities, recovering addicts, and the underprivileged members of our community. His solution was to convince them to don a pair of running shoes and take to the streets! Since its inception, RunOurCity, a social enterprise, has grown to over 55,000 participants and has mentored youth to improve their health, perseverance and confidence. This is all done by using running as a stepping stone to interact with peers, to forge friendships, and to engage with the community. RunOurCity has since spawned an annual nine-day street carnival, Hong Kong Running fest, with events that attract all walks of life and to ensure financial sustainability for the youth programs. Join us as Mr Leong Cheung shares his story and aspiration behind the hugely successful RunOurCity, and how believing in “Run to Transform” led to inspiring thousands of youth and created social impact.
