The Property Committee invites CanChamHK's members to join the upcoming committee meeting.
 

Mission:

  • To discuss property (real estate) issues pertaining to Hong Kong, the Pearl River Delta, and Canada.
  • To invite and arrange leaders from the industry to present property issues that would be of interest to members of the Chamber at events. Besides being educational, this committee would aim to generate revenue, gain positive media exposure, and become a platform to recruit new Cancham members.
  • To draft position papers in regards to real estate issues that may affect Cancham members.

Seminar: The Future of Industrial Real Estate in Hong Kong

The drastic shortfall of commercial and residential properties in Hong Kong puts even more pressure on ensuring a revitalization of underused industrial properties occurs but when and how? Which businesses can it benefit?

Our speakers discussed these vital issues in order to establish understanding and planning for the future direction of the industrial market in Hong Kong.

Seminar: Canadian Market Property Update & Mixer - Vancouver, Toronto, and Montreal

The speakers had an in-depth discussion on the Canadian property market trends in Vancouver, Toronto, and Montreal. The committee aims to provide quarterly updates by bringing in specialist in the field to provide their insights on the new projects, any new regulations, and changes in investment focus/eligibility for foreign buyers of Canadian property. 

Panel Discussion: How Technology and Block-chain will Disrupt the Real Estate Industry

In this panel discussion, we explored how technology is already disrupting the real estate industry and how new block-chain technologies have the potential to transform the way we do business. The panel explained how block-chain and smart contracts will decentralize traditional models for real estate transactions, ownership, record keeping, and finance.
