About the Speakers

Daniel Shih
Director of Research

Colliers International Hong Kong

With more than 20 years of professional experience in large scale land planning and development, Daniel has built a thorough understanding of China’s land development context. As Director of Research for Colliers Hong Kong and Southern China, Daniel is responsible for undertaking property research and publications for Hong Kong and Southern China markets.

In his previous role at AECOM, Daniel spearheaded an 80-strong consultancy team focused on economic development. Under his leadership, the team conducted extensive studies of cities and urban environments that successfully incorporate resilience, sustainability, and liveablity. His experience in assessing the direct impact of factors such as globalisation, climate change, and aging populations on real estate capital values clearly differentiates our business among our clients.

Since joining Colliers, Daniel and his team have conducted an innovative approach to research resulting in projects such as Colliers Annual Occupier Survey and Colliers Investor Survey in order to provide market insights and identify new opportunities for investors, landlords, and tenants. With the closer integration between Hong Kong and Southern China research teams, Daniel has helped to create a new research series that focuses on the Greater Bay Area (GBA).
