Electric Vehicles in Hong Kong: Where We Are and The Road Ahead

Brought to You by the Sustainable Development Committee of The Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong

About the Event

Electric vehicles (EVs) are seen by many in Hong Kong as a way to improve air quality and reduce carbon emissions. In addition, EVs are often regarded as a key element in Hong Kong’s vision to become a smarter city. However, there have been various challenges and discussions around the evolving technological, commercial and policy-related elements surrounding EVs, both in Hong Kong and globally.

The workshop aims allow our members to understand more about the issues, policies and complexities behind Hong Kong’s push to electrify its vehicle fleet and what considerations and benefits there are for businesses and individuals. Topics to be covered include the environmental and financial elements of electric vehicles vs. conventional vehicles, the thinking and rationale behind the governmental policies behind EVs and the road ahead.
