[Photos] Cocktails and Conversation with Former Chief Justice Madam Beverley McLachlin — December 4, 2019

CANCHAM Chamber News, News

Yesterday evening, we were honoured to invite Former Chief Justice Madam Beverley McLachlin to come speak with the members of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong. Through this session, we had the opportunity to learn about the highlights and obstacles she faced as the first woman to hold the position of the Chief Justice of Canada and what she has learned from that experience.

Members left feeling inspired by the humility, mindset and passion that Madam Beverley possesses and gained full understanding as to why she is widely regarded as one of the most influential and impressive people Canada has ever known.

Thank you to our fantastic emcee of the night, Amelie Dionne-Charest, and our interviewer, Louise Barrington, for guiding the evening seamlessly. Thank you to Jeff Nankivell, Consul General of the Consulate General of Canada in Hong Kong and Macao, for joining and speaking with us.

Thank you to our event sponsor, Parkside Chambers, for their wonderful support. Also, big thanks to our venue sponsor, CLSA, and event partners, Arbitral Women and University of Alberta Alumni Association in Hong Kong for their generous contributions to making this event a success.

Special recognition to CanChamHK’s The Women’s Network for organizing this event.
