Get your tickets for Beare’s Premiere Music Festival (formerly the Hong Kong International Chamber Music Festival) which will feature over 20 international and local artists performing in five ticketed concerts from 16-24 January 2019.
Highlights of the 10th edition of the Beare’s Premiere Music Festival include:
- Superstar mezzo-soprano Joyce DiDonato will perform In War & Peace: Harmony Through Music. Weaving together arias from Baroque operas by Handel, Purcell and others, DiDonato will transform City Hall Concert Hall into a theatrical space alongside award-winning chamber orchestra Il Pomo d’Oro under Maxim Emelyanychev and dancer Manuel Palazzo. This is a performance you will never forget! (Wednesday January 16th)
- Four exciting chamber music concerts with our incredible ensemble of international musicians, including Grammy-nominated mandolinist Avi Avital, the “string quartet of the moment” Dover Quartet, emerging Taiwanese violinst Paul Huang, and Swiss piano virtuoso Andreas Haefliger, including one concert at the brand new JC Cube, Tai Kwun.
- Viva Tango! celebrates the music of the Tango, featuring Letters from Argentina by Lalo Schifrin alongside quintessential tangos by Astor Piazzolla. This concert features a sextet of musicians including our own Artistic Director Cho-Liang Lin, Grammy-award winning bandoneon player Hector del Curto, celebrated drummer Satoshi Takeishi and award-winning jazz pianist Alex Brown. (Thursday January 24)
- Exclusive 10th Festival Anniversary Fundraising Gala at Tai Kwun featuring a private concert with Festival musicians and an elegant seated dinner at Madame Fu Grand Café Chinois. (Saturday January 19)
