What is a Mentor?
A mentor is a person with extensive experience and knowledge who willingly and openly shares, guides and encourages another person in their efforts toward self-development.

What is a Mentorship Programme?
A structured mentoring programme strives to match experienced and young professionals for the specific purpose of building a relationship, trust, experience exchange, support and guidance. This is accomplished by integrating a variety of programme themes such as:
  • Goal setting: What is my 1-year, 3-year, 5-year plan? What should I do to achieve it?
    • Set SMART (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, Time Bound) goals for your mentorship
  • Career development- How can I improve and advance?
  • Sharing opportunities and networking- What job opportunities exist?
  • Sharing project work- What are young professionals working on?
  • Sharing interests- What would you like to know more about?
Format – How the Mentorship Programme Works
One-on-one programme that pairs young professionals with experienced professionals for a minimum of 6 months

Testimonials from previous Protégés

"I think it was a pretty good match. My Mentor working in the private equity and having had angel investment experience allowed him to provide some very interesting perspective on some of my projects as well as for giving me career advice.”

"The programme is a great platform for seasoned Canadians in Hong Kong to engage the new generation of Canadians in the city to ensure they thrive in the region, in China and in Asia. The organisation of the programme is really impressive in that it works hard to selected interested proteges and to identify the right match.”

"After 6 meetings, we have already developed a close connection, not only on mentor-protégé basis, but more like friends. Someone you know you can definitely reach out to without hesitation and give you advice on your life and career.”
