The Consulate General of Canada furthers the bilateral relationship between Canada and Hong Kong and Macao, providing a variety of services to the 300,000 plus Canadians resident in the region. The Trade Commissioner Service promotes Canada’s economic interests through activities including export market development, foreign direct investment attraction to Canada, and the facilitation of R&D collaboration and joint venture partnerships. The Foreign Policy and Diplomacy Service (FPDS) section of the Consulate is composed of political, economic and public affairs’ professionals. FPDS is dedicated to promoting Canadian interests and values in Hong Kong and Macao. It works closely with other Consulate teams, the provinces, business and academia.
