About the Event:
The “How I Started: How I Made It (Or How I am Still Making It!)” Series brings current and aspiring entrepreneurs together to share experiences about the challenges they face in establishing and operating a business in Hong Kong including the Asia Pacific Region and Canada. Therefore, the Panel will be helpful to those who are looking for new ideas, different business strategies, solutions to business problems, or more profitable ways of doing things.

This Seminar is a Journey of an Entrepreneur in a Medical Practice in our business community.

In this Seminar we will explore Dr. Bramley’s experience including the challenges of setting up a practice in Hong Kong when she first arrived inHong Kongin 1996. She will also discuss why she chose Hong Kongto start her business. Most importantly, Dr. Bramley will also share with us the strategies she has used to help her achieve her goals through this entrepreneurial journey including how she successfully planned for her second clinic in Whistler.

About the Speaker:

Dr. Lauren Bramley is the Founder and Managing Director of her namesake Hong Kong-based multidisciplinary medical and dental practice. She also recently established a second clinic in WhistlerLauren Bramley & Partners Health Innovation, specialising in anti-aging medicine and procedures.

Operating under the core concept of ‘Empowered Medicine’, Dr. Lauren Bramley & Partners in Hong Kong is a multi-functional facility focusing on complete wellness for individuals and families. Dr. Bramley takes an innovative approach to health, integrating a combination of cutting-edge preventative testing methods, medical genomics, lifestyle recommendations, nutrition and medicine to ensure that her clients live longer, healthier and happier lives. She successfully combines Western medicine with the Eastern philosophies of body harmony and the power of natural healing for an all-encompassing approach to wellbeing. Her broad international experience has facilitated a high level of sensitivity in regards to the diverse cultural and social differences of her clients, their health and the most effective treatments.

In addition to her core General Practice, Dr. Bramley has a special interest in physical fitness and Endocrinology, and she is particularly recognised as an innovative global leader in the ever-evolving field of anti-aging medicine.

Having graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology/Psychology from Dalhousie University in Novia Scotia, she went on to earn a Doctor of Medicine (MD) Degree from the University of British Columbia, along with the Sandoz Scholarship for Excellence in Medicine (Neurology) in 1994.

Dr. Bramley relocated to the HKSAR in 1996, where she earned a Post Graduate Diploma in Endocrinology and Metabolism from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. She became a Licentiate of the Medical Council of Hong Kong in 2000 and established her first independent medical practice in 2001.

In 2009 she completed Board Certification in Anti Aging Medicine with Great Distinction in the EU, and maintains ongoing active membership in the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M), a US federally registered non-profit organisation dedicated to the advancement of technology to detect, prevent, and treat aging related disease.

Dr. Bramley is the co-author of the best-selling children’s nutrition book ‘The Baby’s Table’ (Random House Canada, 2004). She has also appeared in numerous high profile newspapers and magazines, and on various television shows talking about preventative health topics and anti-aging issues. In 2016, she was a featured speaker at TEDxVail, with the focus of her presentation being making informed decisions by monitoring four key biomarkers for optimal health, well-being and appearance.

Dr. Bramley is a certified Medical Doctor in the USA, Canada, Australia and Hong Kong.

Over more than two decades, he has provided communications services to some of the world’s most successful companies, including Airport Authority Hong Kong, Bechtel, BrandLoyalty, Deloitte, the Economist Group, Manulife, Munich Re and Wal-Mart.

Christopher is also the author of the Landedseries of real estate books. An accomplished trainer, he appears regularly in the local and international media and speaks at events throughout Asia.
