About the Event

Studies of our contemporary workplace find that purpose and progress are more compelling than money or comfort in a job. Therefore, what do women look for in a career or why do we change careers? Has a life changing event occurred such as giving birth and/or relocating to a new country due to marriage that has drastically changed the way one sees about their current job? Or has affected them in a way that they would like to completely change their career goals?

In this breakfast sharing session, our speakers will address how and why they changed fields at the height of their careers. We will also hear from a corporate’s perspective on how to cope with changes from female employees – either leaving the workplace (temporarily) after a life changing event such as giving birth or how the company can best accommodate an employee once they have had these changes.

Join us on April 27th for this breakfast session to find out more about change and your career and to network with other like-minded female professionals.

Panelists:

Rebecca Lentchner
Head of Government Relations APAC, BNY Mellon

Rebecca heads Government Relations Asia Pacific for the global Office of Public Policy and Regulatory Affairs and is based in Hong Kong. In this newly created position, she provides regular updates on the global regulatory reform agenda and its potential impacts in the region to the company’s business leaders, Asian regulators, market supervisors, policy makers and regional trade/business associations.

Caroline Carson (Briggs)
CEO & Founder ofBack to Work HK andFleximums

A facilitator and change agent with a passion for improving communications and leadership in herself and others to make the workplace more diverse, inclusive and a great place to be. She works with groups and individuals to understand their goals and then ensure they know how to achieve them. She can bring focus & energy to those who are going through career transitions or who have been out of the workforce for a time and would like to return in a new capacity. She works with both individuals and organisations to achieve this. Her 20 year executive career in financial services followed by a break and then a relaunch proves that it is not only possible to change but that you can choose the path you take.

Naomi Sedney
Founding Partner,The Inclusion Factory

Naomi worked at Heineken for 13 years, where she held various commercial positions, both nationally as internationally. After working for Heineken for more than a decade, Naomi was ready for a new challenge and terminated her contract to start a 2- year Master Programme at INSEAD in 2014. Naomi is founding partner of The Inclusion Factory – founded in 2015- a boutique consultancy firm specialized in Diversity & Inclusion in organisations.

Claire Goodchild
Asia Head of Diversity & Inclusion, Morgan Stanley


Claire Goodchild is responsible for Morgan Stanley’s diversity and inclusion strategy in Asia. Based in Hong Kong, she works closely with the Firm’s senior leadership and HR business partners to develop strategies to attract, retain and develop a diverse pipeline of talent.

Through this work, Morgan Stanley has been recognized as Top 10 Best Employer for Women in India and has received a Gold Standard for LGBT Inclusion in published indices in Hong Kong and Japan. Morgan Stanley's Return to Work program, now in its second year in Asia, is an opportunity for those who have left the workforce and put their careers on hold to reenter the workforce.
