About the Speakers:
Michael Yao
Senior Vice President, Head of Corporate Finance
Alibaba Group

Michael is a senior corporate finance professional with over 23 years experience in international capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, debt advisory and corporate finance. Maintain senior client relationships across corporates and Financial Sponsor and Private Equity. Experienced in building businesses and motivating a team, he has over sixteen years of experience in the investment banking and strategic advisory business. Prior to founding ARX Advisorsin 2003, Mr. Yao was a Managing Director in the Investment Banking Division of Goldman Sachs (Asia) L.L.C.

Mr. Yao is a senior executive with substantial experience in corporate finance, strategic advisory, privatization, corporate governance and client management across various industries. He has extensive experience in the banking, telecommunications, energy and power and transport industries. In his previous role as a Managing Director for Goldman Sachs, he was responsible for initiating and maintaining client relationships and executing large, franchise building transactions.

Allen Lu

Allen has more than 14 years audit experience and worked in KPMG Australia for 2 years from 2007 to 2009. Allen focused on TMT industry and has rich experience in US GAAP and working on large multinational companies with SEC reporting and on Chinese domestic company on US IPO. Allen’s major clients are US listed Chinese internet companies or privately owned internet companies in the process of US IPO. Most recently,Allen is assisting some Chinese internet companies in the process of unwinding the VIE structure and planning for listing in PRC capital market, including the National Equities Exchange and Quotations System (“NEEQS”) .

Dr. Song Li
CEO and Co-Founder

Dr. Song Li is an investment banker-turned Internet entrepreneur. He founded Zhenai Inc., the largest Internet dating service operator in China, currently with nearly 100 million registered members. Zhenai has been voted No. 1 brand in the Online Dating category in 2013 and 2014 by the prestigious China Power Brand Index sponsored by the Chinese Ministry of Information and Industry.

Song studied molecular genetics at Cornell University, and obtained a Ph.D. in finance from Columbia.

In his pre-entrepreneurial life, Song was a vice president of fixed income derivatives at Bear Stearns in New York, and an executive director of equity derivatives at Morgan Stanley Asia in Hong Kong.

Song has been featured by prominent international and national TV media including CNN, CNBC, Tokyo TV and CCTV, and he is currently a member of the Decision-Making Advisory Council of the Shenzhen Municipal Government.
