In this session, we will discuss a revolution fully underway. At many technology companies, traditional marketing roles are transforming into “growth hacking” roles. In fact, the concept has become so popular that some companies are hiring people who specifically label themselves as “growth hackers” and they’re giving them their own department, separate from Marketing.

Different from marketers, who traditionally are less technical, growth hackers have one objective – to grow the company. This is done through a variety of tactics called (for lack of a better word) “hacks.” These hacks generally are inexpensive (commonly free), and they are aimed at increasing “virality”.

In this Q&A session, Joshua Steimle & Jonathan Liu will discuss and answer questions on growth hacking and how it differs from conventional marketing, how to hire a growth hacker, resources on growth hacks, and additional helpful resources.
