About the Event:

In this Discussion Panel, a medical doctor, a naturopath, and a psychiatrist will discuss strategies to optimize our physical and mental health so that we have the resilience and the confidence to take our career andbusiness to the next level.

About the Panel Speakers:
Dr. Sarah Borwein
General Practitioner,Central Health


Dr. Sarah Borwein is a Canadian-trained General Practitioner. She received her undergraduate degree from Queens University in Canada and a Masters degree in Development Economics from Oxford University in England, before attending the University of Toronto medical school. After obtaining Certification in Family Medicine from the College of Family Physicians of Canada, she completed a Masters degree in Infectious Diseases from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. Most recently she was awarded Fellowship in the College of Family Physicians of Canada.

Sarah has lived in Hong Kong and Beijing for more than 16 years, where she has continued to develop her special interest in tropical medicine and travel health. She worked as a staff physician at the Beijing United Family Hospital where she was Director of Infection control during the SARS outbreak in China.
Dr. Sharmeen Shroff
Psy.D. Clinical Psychology from California School of Professional Psychology, San Francisco


Dr. Sharmeen Shroffis a Registered Hong Kong Psychologist who has years of experience counseling, training and working in the United Kingdom and the USA. She is one of the few clinical psychologists in Hong Kong that have been intensively trained to practice psychotherapy from a psychodynamic depth perspective.

As a practitioner of psychology in Hong Kong, Dr. Shroff uses her training in classical psychoanalysis and combines it with a more practical hands on approach to give clients the best of both worlds. As a psychologist, Dr. Shroff utilizes a combination of directive and non-directive therapy techniques, giving clients the skills they need to improve their lifestyle while allowing them space for their own growth and development.
Dr. Shroff has worked for many years in school settings, community mental health centers and hospitals (inpatient and outpatient).

Dr. Ardyce Yik
Naturopath,Integrated Medicine Institute


Dr. Ardyce Yik (ND) is a Canadian-licensed naturopathic doctor who helps people restore and attain optimal health using natural medicines and nutritional therapy. With a special focus on women's health, she assists women in overcoming hormonal imbalances, high stress/ adrenal fatigue, skin conditions and fertility issues. She has appeared as a naturopathic medical expert on Bloomberg TV and shares her expertise regularly through health articles and seminars (SCMP, McKinsey&Co., Nomura Group,Hong Kong International School, etc.). She currently practises in Central and RepulseBay.
