About the Panelists:

Matthew is the CEO and Founder of Megasoft Ltd., a leading provider of retail technology, mobile and RFID solutions. The company’s most innovative solution, RiiT, a next generation intelligent retail management system, has transformed the jewelry and fashion industries globally.

Educated and lived in the United Kingdom over 19 years, with over 30 year experience in the IT industry, Matthew has a strong background in R&D and Sales & Marketing, with in-depth knowledge of the electronics, manufacturing, logistics management and retail industries.

He is also the Chairman of an investment company, Mega Gold Holdings Ltd. which is funded by angel investment and venture capital and the CEO of Megabyte Ltd., under his leadership, his R&D teams have innovated many top award-winning RFID products, which have revolutionized these industries. He is also an active member of Hong Kong Electronics & Technologies Association and Hong Kong Internet of Things Industry Advisory Council.
Simon Newstead
CEO of Frenzoo

Simon is CEO of Frenzoo, creator of the Me Girl™ series played by millions of women and girls. As a game designer he is about personal and playful entertainment. Prior to founding Frenzoo, Simon ran the emerging technology business for Juniper Networks Asia. Danny has extensive experience in A, B and H share, and IPO audits together with the audits of PRC state-owned enterprises and multinational clients investing in Mainland China.

He has more than 16 years experience in audit assurance and financial due diligence reviews from Big Four International Accounting Firms, particularly in the Asian and PRC markets. His work experience also includes the commercial sector where he spent two years as the Financial Controller for a Hong Kong Stock Exchange listed group and two years with a PRC domestic group engaged in the environmental infrastructure business.

Danny has also assisted many PRC enterprises listed in Hong Kong, Singapore, UK AIM and NASDAQ.

Chipperis an experienced internet operator, investor, and advisor. He is co-founder of Firestartr, a digital venture platform helping talented entrepreneurs build revolutionary digital businesses, focused initially on European startups targeting global markets in e-commerce, fintech/bitcoin, cloud/SaaS, “internet of things”, and more. Previously he led Corporate Strategy for eBay in Silicon Valley developing their first mobile strategy and spearheading over $3 billion in strategic acquisitions, including Skype and As a partner at McKinsey & Co in Hong Kong, he co-founded and co-led McKinsey’s global Mobile Commerce Initiative growing from scratch to 200 professionals and $100m in revenues. He co-built Booz-Allen’s Jakarta office and started his career as an R&D engineer in fiber-optic telecommunications with Rockwell. He has an MS in Management from MIT, an Advanced Certificate in Maths from Cambridge, and an AB in Physics from Harvard. He has split his career across Europe, the US, and Asia, and is fluent in French. He enjoys spending time with his wife and 3 sons, and wishes he played squash, composed at the piano, and scuba-dived more.
