Driven by smart phones, social media, home-grown platforms and rising confidence in online channels, China’s e-commerce market has already surpassed the US to become the largest in the world. Alibaba, China's leading e-commerce company, has sales greater than eBay and Amazon combined. The imminent Alibaba IPO is likely to remain a hot topic in the business news. In addition, relatively weaker consumer attachment in China to physical stores means unsurpassed opportunities for online retailers.
