About the Workshop:
In this Business Development Workshop on Business Presentations, you will learn how to:
1) Bring in new business for your Company
2) Prepare, plan and organise information from the listeners’ point of view
3) Design and structure information to create an effective professional, promotional presentation
4) Speak persuasively in meetings to get your message across effectively
5) Use appropriate visual aids, normally, but not exclusively PowerPoint effectively: how to keep the message short, focused and simple for the audience in order to strengthen your message rather than send your potential clients to sleep
6) Understand the psychology of why clients buy
7) Take control of the "meeting”, the "presentation” – achieve your objective
8) Avoid getting the "I need to think about it” response; instead get "Agreement/Commitment” at the end of the meeting/presentation
About the Speaker:
Mr. Anthony Behan, Founder and Managing Director of The Communication Group.
Anthony is a Communication Consultant who specialises in Information Design: Information Structure TM. He is also an experienced Discourse Analyst. He has an M.A. in Applied Linguistics (Birmingham University U.K.) specialising in Discourse Analysis and Corpus Linguistics. He has a number of years' experience in management, communication consultancy, marketing and sales in Hong Kong, China and the Asia Pacific Region.
Anthony is an accredited presentation skills trainer for seniors executives at HSBC. This Workshop is specially designed for business professionals in the Asia Pacific Region. It is conducted regularly for member companies of the Canadian Chamber and leading conglomerates in Hong Kong. It has been very popular both locally and outside Hong Kong. In the last ten years, the Workshop has been conduced in Beijing, Tokyo and Osaka. In Hong Kong, local and overseas delegates from Shanghai, Chongqing, Taipei, Singapore and Indonesia have attended the Workshop.
The Chamber has been presenting this Workshop Series "The Art of Persuasion” exclusively for the Chamber for the last ten years. It is not available to the general public except for Member companies, some leading conglomerates and professional organisations in Hong Kong and the Asia Pacific Region.
