About the Event:

The private fund industry in China received a major push on June 1st with the amendment to the Securities Investment Funds Law which is expected to act as a major catalyst for the industry in China by allowing such private funds to market their funds via private placement across China and for fund managers to be registered via a new national licensing regime. This legitimization of the private fund industry presents interesting opportunities for the financial services industry as it opens a new market in an industry that is expected to grow substantially in the coming years. During this luncheon, the speaker will present the landscape of the hedge fund and private equity industries in China and discuss the impact and the opportunities for asset managers and service providers following these recent developments.
