About the Speaker


Richard Wong
Ascent Partners

A career management consultant specializes in cost control and reduction with 30
years of experience. Prior to his consulting practice, he worked for a number of blue
chip organizations in the financial, telecommunications and manufacturing sectors
(including HSBC, HK Telephone and Motorola) and was mainly responsible for
introducing and monitoring effective cost reduction and control programs. In early
2002, he introduces the Expense Reduction Program, a cost reduction best practice to
help companies in HK & PRC, achieving million of dollars savings. In early 2012, he
merges his team with Ascent Partners for synergy and succession.


He is also a frequent speaker for senior executive seminars on expense reduction
and the former President of the Operational Research Society of Hong Kong. He
is the author of the book, "Cost Cutting: Besides Staff, What Else?” published by

PEARSON Prentice Hall.
