Keynote speech by JJ Ruest, Executive Vice-President and Chief Marketing Officer, CN
About the Event
Globalization has changed the way companies and their employees focus their thinking and operations. Past emphasis on provincial, regional, or even national supply chains must shift to international sourcing, marketing and transportation policies in order to link suppliers and customers across international boundaries.
The concept of Canada as a "gateway" between Asia and the rest of North America is not a recent phenomenon. Since the late 1800s, Vancouver has served as a transportation hub for the flow of goods and services across the Pacific.
CN-served ports on the Pacific (Vancouver, Prince Rupert) as well as the Atlantic (Halifax, Montreal) are positioned as true gateways to the populous North American market. Each has their own exciting developments in terms of terminal capacity and technology advancements which will enable them to handle the transformations in the shipping industry.
Join us as we hear from Mr. JJ Ruest, Executive Vice-President and Chief Marketing Officer at CN, on how CN has expanded and evolved the way that it does business to provide customers with a reliable end-to-end supply chain. JJ will also discuss how CN serves numerous and diverse markets, as well as how technology is transforming our customers’ supply chains.
