Retail investment is becoming a popular trend among the young generation, but the lack of expertise in this field can have expensive consequences. The question frequently asked among these young professionals is not whether to invest, but rather, how to do it. To shed some light on this hot topic, CanChamHK and its Young Professional Committee, in collaboration with CFA, is launching its ‘Invest on a Budget Series’ to showcase basic asset allocation tips and the common mistakes retail investors make.

Attending this session will give you the fundamental knowledge to start making your money work for you, and it will put you in the right path to achieve financial fitness. Learn better ways to invest your cash flow than a zero interest bank account and make the crucial first step to start investing on a budget!

This is the first of a three-part "Investing on a Budget Series" and is designed for Young Professionals with little or no knowledge of personal investing fundamentals. Building upon the knowledge shared in part one, the series then takes a deeper dive walking the audience through active and passive investing (part two) and picking the right advisors and activating the plan (part three).
