About the event:

What is zero waste? Do you have a desire to reduce the trash you generate? Don’t know where to start? Don’t know how to live a sustainable consumption lifestyle that leads to zero waste?

With Hong Kong’s landfills reaching capacity and the city generating a daily average of 1.35 kg[1] of trash/person, we are reaching the breaking point. Each of us has a responsibility to help reduce the 6 million tonnes of Municipal Solid Waste generated each year.

Join us as Claire Sancelot will explain what zero waste is, how she lives it, what you can do, and which businesses in Hong Kong provide products for sustainable consumption.
She will provide valuable tips on following the 5Rs:

  • Refuse
  • Reduce
  • Reuse
  • Recycle
  • Rot (compost)
