Image: Since its inception in 1977, The Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong has grown from a small collection of business people into the largest Canadian Chamber outside of Canada with more than 1150 members across a wide spectrum of services and industries.

Our mission is to promote the interests of our members by being an advocate and sounding board for trade, services and investment through networking, information-sharing and effective communication.

To best meet the needs of our membership, we have introduced four main categories for joining and taking part, being:

Corporate -- A Corporate Member is a company registered in or having a representative office in Hong Kong. Corporate members enjoy the widest range of benefits. They have access to valuable networking opportunities and receive maximum exposure within the Chamber and the Hong Kong-Canada business community. Corporate members are prominently listed in the Chamber Directory, Magazine, and Website. Furthermore, each Corporate Member may nominate two Corporate Additional members at no charge. Corporate Additional members beyond the first two may register at rates significantly lower than the cost of an Individual membership.

Corporate Additional -- Corporate Additional members enjoy many of the same benefits as the Chamber Representative from the same company. They attend all Chamber events at discounted rates and must be nominated by the Chamber Representative from their company.

Entrepreneur -- An Entrepreneur Member is a privately owned and operated business in Hong Kong. This category was established to meet the needs of small-and medium-sized enterprises of 15 employees or less, usually but not necessarily, of a start-up nature. Entrepreneur members are profiled in the Chamber Directory and magazine by company and the company representative.

Individual -- An Individual Member is any person who is interested in taking part in the vibrant Hong Kong-Canada business community and the valuable networking opportunities the Chamber provides. Individual members are profiled in the Chamber Directory by name.

Special -- The Special Member category incorporates the following groupings:

  • Young Professional members are people who are 28 or under and are interested in professional development and networking opportunities.

  • Non-Profit Organization members are associations and bodies operating on the non-profit sector.

  • Non-Resident members are people who do not normally reside in Hong Kong and /or permanently reside outside Hong Kong and are interested in maintaining their links with the Hong Kong-Canada business community.

General Notes

Corporate and Corporate Additional Members can transfer their memberships during the year but must advise the Chamber's Membership Manager to take advantage of this offer.

Additional copies of the business directory can be purchased at the list price of HK$500 for members.

Companies or persons not resident in Hong Kong qualify for the Non-resident Membership Category only.

Please e-mail us if you have any questions about which category of membership best meets your individual needs.
