families, their businesses, their homes, the assets they are building up or have built up over a lifetime. But while insurance and related insurance products are fundamental to people′s lives, they are not “intuitive” benefits in
people′s minds. This is why insurance products have to be sold to people, and are not found stacked on shelves in supermarkets. An industry renowned thought-leader in the areas of behavioral economics, client-centric tools, external selling and
client advocacy, as well as motivational speaker, Mr. Joseph W. Jordan, Senior Vice President of MetLife, will shed some light on the inner workings of the insurance world, and how it can change the way you manage your life.
Mr. Jordan began
his career with Home Life in 1974, when he was named “Rookie of the Year” and a member of the Million Dollar Roundtable (MDRT). Mr. Jordan ran insurance sales at Paine Webber from 1981 to 1988. He joined MetLife in 1988. He is currently
responsible for global sales and process strategies relating to MetLife′s core portfolio products: Enterprise Life, Annuities, Long Term Care and Disability Income. Mr. Jordan is married with two children, lives in Manhattan and is a member of
the Fordham University Hall of Fame. He plays rugby for the New York Athletic Club.
