Information Design: Information Structure Business Communication Writing Workshop

How to Communicate More Effectively in Your Daily Business Correspondence by Using Information Design: Information Structure to Produce Written Business Communication that:
- Gets Action
- Gets Results
- Gets You Promoted!
This is not a traditional English Writing Skills Workshop. This Workshop is about helping the participants to communicate more effectively in the English they already know. The emphasis is on Information Design: Information Structure and is suitable for both Local and Expatriate Staff who want to improve their written business communication skills within a short period of time.
This Workshop is designed specifically to help participants to:
1. Structure information in a logical sequence in business correspondence so that it is Coherent and Cohesive and
2. Write in Plain Language i.e. language, for example, in an e-mail or letter, that the reader can read, understand and act upon after reading it for the FIRST TIME.
3. Plan, Organise, Draft, Revise, and Edit their own writing by following the Five Step Writing Process; and
4. Improve their Accuracy, Layout, Tone, Style and (Grammar, where necessary, through focused self-study) in their Business Correspondence, in particular in e-mails, letters and reports.

The Workshop is conducted by an experienced Applied Linguist, who is a native speaker of English.

The Workshop will take place over a six week period with one session of three hours per week.
Successful candidates will be issued with a Certificate of Achievement (Also based on attendance).

Six Mondays 19 April until 24 May 2010
Time: 6:30pm until 9:30pm Total: 18 hours i.e. 6 sessions by 3 hours
Venue: Council Chamber 4th Floor, Duke of Windsor Building, 15 Hennessy Road, Wanchai
Cost: Member Companies HK$3,090 Non-Member Companies HK$3,290
Discount Early Bird Registration: You get a discount of 10% for registering on or before 14 April, 2010.
Group Registration: There is a discount of 10% for two people or more from the same company
